We have e-learning courses and use badges in a very basic format now (ie Open badges). It is valuable and we are lookin inte expanding this. I have been talking to a provider of certification and badges called Accredible. They have a very good solution but the treshold for getting started is to expensive. $1800 per month. I think your price model would be much more suitable.
