More than one language at a time
Josh Moore
This would be a brilliant feature. I am presenting to a multi-lingual audience in a few weeks. Imagine how cool it would be if they could select their preferred language when they join on their devices!

Hi Richard, thanks for your comment!
Just so I can understand the idea better: Would you want your polls/questions to be automatically translated to the participants' preferred language, or would it be better if you could create two versions of the questions/presentation and translate yourself?

Maja Jakobsson: Since we have a translation service, I could type in the translated questions/answers and the audience only has to choose the preferred language. My speech/presentation is simultaneously translated. It would be awesome to have this feature by the beginning of June 21 :)

Anne Burian: Thanks for explaining!
I'm afraid we have no plans on implementing this in such a near future. Depending on your setup, what I can suggest as workaround is either to create 2 different presentations and ask the participants to join the one in their preferred language (with the downside of you having the results in 2 different places as well), or try to include both languages in all questions - using the optional description field would give you more space to add the translations.
If you want help to explore these solutions further, I suggest you reach out to our support team: support@mentimeter.com!

Maja Jakobsson: Dear Maja, thanks a lot for your feedback! I thought about including both languages in one presentation as well. I probably go with that one, just need to shorten it a little. It's the better option since I really want to have the results in one place. Thanks again for your quick reply, I may contact the support team if I get stuck :)

Maja Jakobsson I completely agree with the suggestion above as I found myself looking for this feature. We are able to use something like this for regular surveys, so I am surprised it hasn't been possible yet. I hope Mentimeter sees this as an opportunity to be more inclusive. We've started using Mentimeter along with live translation services at events/gatherings, and it would be fantastic if both the instructions and translated slides could appear on the screen for respondents in their chosen language. It would be even better if open text responses could be automatically translated into the majority language, like English. This would create a unified space where everyone can share their input, ensuring an accurate measure of the entire room. As researchers, we're gradually moving away from holding separate focus groups or town halls in different languages and instead, we're striving to provide translation services that ensure everyone is engaged and included in the conversation.

Yes Celia I agree = we need to run an event in French and English
