Inserting math equations or formula

For use in my educational scientific context, answers which are algebraic or require LaTeX formulas are very often required so it is important that LaTeX is rendered in answer options as well as in questions. Actually I don't understand why this post has been marked as complete in the first place. The original request says questions
and answers
. (Here I am echoing the May 8th post of Robert Talbot which underlines that the current implementation does not render LaTeX in answers and that this is an important feature)Maja Jakobsson

You can now add mathematical symbols in your slides: https://help.mentimeter.com/en/articles/3563654-math-support
Please note that this isn't supported in question options yet - hope it still helps!

Maja Jakobsson: Unfortunately for this to really be useful for math teachers, we need math notation in the question options, so I can ask questions like "Which of the following is the derivative of f(x) = x^4" and have learners select. Can this be bumped up the priority list?
Maja Jakobsson
Robert Talbert: Hi Robert,
Unfortunately that's a bit more tricky to do technically due to the way we render options (otherwise we would have liked to include it in the first release).
Great that you created a new post for it so we can see how many others need it as well - I'll see what I can do to make it prioritized!

Please add the opportunity to introduce maths and stats language. It is frustrating to buy the application and only then discover that one can not use scientific language.

This would make a huge difference in usability for anyone teaching STEM, and it's something that competitors (like Socrative) don't offer, either. So far the only way to display math is to embed images, which is clunky and limiting - just allowing MathJax or something similar would solve all these problems.

Please, enable these options.

Please any kind of interface to allow to input math formulas would be very much appreciate. Math is a language and mentimeter is lacking of it.

I have embedded screenshots of TEXed math before, which is clumsy and slow. Embedding math directly (via MathJax) is what's keeping me from using Mentimeter in every class.

Math and sciences support

As a physics and chemistry teacher I really really need equation support in the question but also in the answers. Without it Mentimeter is totally useless for me. That's a shame because I think Mentimeter is great !

The lack of support for maths means using Mentimeter requires time-consuming workarounds using images. The result is not always satisfactory, especially when using the quiz question type.

Yes, any sort of math support would be great. I think superscripts and subscripts would be universally useful, but fractions are what is really needed. In the meantime I've used a short piece of LaTeX to create an image I can embed in the background and almost lines up with the questions. Good enough for now.
