Edit responses in word cloud

Would be great if one could edit the responses that respondents type when answering to a word cloud question. E.g. if one participants answers"zombie", another one "zombies", these would be displayed as two different words, although they are obviously saying the same so that we'd rather want the word to be blown up (if we could delete the "s" in the second respondent's reply that should be the case).

Moderate word cloud

The option to moderate words added to any word cloud would be very useful for use in secondary schools.

This is a perfect problem Generative AI could solve right in the app for real time usage. SO both the displayed word cloud AND the subsequent stakeholder report are cleaner and make more sense. C'mon - this one should be easy !

I really need this! Please Menti!?

Yes! This is needed to moderate responses. The profanity filter stops rude words but not inappropriate words. This lack of moderation is becoming a barrier to us using Menti.
Does anyone know any software that allows similar functionality but better moderation?

It's pretty discouraging to see that users have been requesting this very necessary option for five years and it still hasn't been added. When simple spelling errors result in a name or concept being represented five times in the word cloud instead of as one BIG entry, it totally distorts the results of the poll.

Erin Carlston: ya, it makes it not useful :(. Also the exporting of wordcloud answers jumbles them all into the same line.

Tidy/edit data from open word-cloud

It would be highly useful to be able to edit and tidy the data to cluster similar terms entered by different persons (aka "QOL", "qlaity of life", "life quality", "quality of life", "qualité de vie"). This postprocessing functionality is essential for archiving the results of the survey with increased quality. Best

Better yet, I'd like Mentimenter to do stemming and merge words automatically. Even recognize small spelling errors as such.

merging similar entries in word clouds

If two people write the same thing in a word cloud but one answer includes a typo, they get visualized as two different entries. Even if it is impossible to make the programm do that, a special feature that helps the presentator to manually rearrange the entries would be amazing. I love mentimeter, thank you so much.

This could also be solved (or reduced) by having typeahead. So when someone starts typing "Zom.." they get to select from what others have already written that starts the same way. Meaning that if someone has already typed Zombie, you can easily select that instead of confusing things by adding the plural s.
That way, the power remains with the respondents and you avoid any suspicion of pollsters manipulating results.
If coupling this with and spell check, you could avoid both typos and double entries without pollsters having to or even being able to edit respondent's entries.
