Maja Frisell: I have thought about it both ways. The "one device" approach doesn't work now because "discussion" or team consensus is impossible when speed counts toward the score. So to do the discuss/single response approach, the timer would only count down (so that teams answer in a timely manner), but response speed wouldn't count toward the score. On the other hand, it would be great if each person answered on their own device and their aggregate score becomes the team score--and speed counts as it does today. One obvious flaw is that the score has to be normalized by the number of respondents, otherwise a team of 5 can too easily (and unfairly) outscore a team of 4.
